BEQUEST "EKLEKTON", EARLY HARVEST EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL, 250ML

The extra virgin olive oil BeQuest “Eklekton ” is produced of of the famous variety “manaki” olives,which are harvested when they are still green and unripe.



– The harvest is done by hand in order not to injure the fruit while the olive oil is done within 12 hours of harvest.



– Leaves and branches are removed from the fruit after washing it with cold water.



– Then the following procedure is pressuring it in a hydraulic press without any heating or adding hot water and without the use of solvents. Following the first pressure the “extra virgin cold‑pressed oil” is produced. During the process of bottling, nitrogen is added in the headspace of the glass bottle, so that the freshness of the olive and the organoleptic and chemical compounds of oil remain unchanged.



This results in having a very high content of polyphenols and antioxidants. Olive oil polyphenols help protect blood lipids from oxidative stress. The complex of oleocanthal, oleacine and derivatives contained in olive oil with the above concentration, has protective properties for our health and positively affects the prevention of heart attacks, the treatment of inflammation, while recent research has shown that it shields the human body against Alzheimer’s disease.



According to the European Regulation 432/2012 (L 136/25. 5. 2012 p. 26), – Health Claim, can only carry olive oil containing at least 250mg polyphenols per 1 Kg of olive oil. The “BEQUEST” far exceeds this limit (see fig. certificate), and bears the certification of Health Claim. Based on the certification regarding the concentration of polyphenols in our olive oil, the beneficial results are ensured with the recommended daily intake of 20g of olive oil.
