OLIBANUM
Vegetal Leather - Perfume
Product’s description
A unisex and monochromatic leather, lifted by a hint of cumin and dried by Atlas and Virginia cedar.
What is leather (in perfumery)?
The leather note in perfumery is relatively recent, referring to the distinctive smell of the boots of Russian soldiers, whose leather was waterproofed with birch tar. It results in two facets, one animalic created with castoreum or certain woods like Atlas cedar; the other smoky created with pyrogenated essences such as cade, styrax, or birch. Some synthetic materials like IBQ or Suederal can give more texture to this charismatic note, but we opted for Oud Noir, whose scent is naturally... leathery.
