Characteristics

Tsipouro is an alcoholic beverage distilled from grape marc. The grapes are harvested only in the morning, when atmospheric humidity is still low. Callicounis carefully selects the grapes, which are pressed on the same day as the harvest. This is how the marc is collected.

Callicounis has developed this tsipouro, an ideal blend of three distillates: sweet wine distillate and distillates of grape marc from indigenous grape varieties from the Argolida and Nemea (Agiorgitiko) regions of the Peloponnese, where the soils are rich. This tsipouro, with no added aniseed, has a lively attack and a velvety mouthfeel.

It is best drunk chilled as an aperitif, and can even accompany any meal.
