MALAKOFF & Cie

It was in 1855 that a chocolatier from Saint Etienne, Jean-Louis Pupier, invented the Malakoff chocolate bar at the request of Napoleon III, following the victory achieved after the Battle of Malakov during the Crimean War.

This chocolate bar has since crossed the centuries and filled the childhood memories of many French people.

We've rediscovered the original recipe for this delightful chocolate bar, and, buoyed by its success, we decided to create the company Malakoff & Cie, dedicated to the indulgence of gourmets and all those who want to savor the taste of their childhood. You'll find Romain CHOLLIER, the founder and chocolatier, at our stand.

Today, Malakoff & Cie produces nearly 25 varieties of spreads, 7 chocolate bars – including the famous Malakoff milk chocolate bar – as well as 11 references of chocolate tablets and delightful squares. For gift ideas, beautiful metal boxes filled with mini MALAKOFF1855 bars complete our product range.

Malakoff & Cie products are handcrafted in our chocolate factory in Banassac, in the department of Lozère (48). They are recognized by the Sud de France brand and have received awards from the Militants du Goût competition.

Our products are guaranteed to be free of palm oil, preservatives, and artificial coloring for our spreads, and made with pure cocoa butter for our chocolates.
