Smooth without a clue that it's 8% abv, this brew is balanced both in roastiness as well as hoppiness! Aroma of citrus and dark malts are blended nicely. Taste is like chewing a piece of dark chocolate with grapefruit peel. Body is enhanced by the use of oats and low carbonation increases the perception even more! Pours dark brown almost black color with dense beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, bread, liquorice hoppy (pine with some grassiness), taste follows being bittersweet. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. This beer will develop with age!
