KYKAO HANDCRAFTED- ΚΥΚΑΩ

ΚYKAΩ means to stir up, to mix, to combine different ingredients. The result, a psychoactive brew, was drank after many days of fasting during the climax during the most famous secret rite of ancient Greece, the "Eleusinian Mysteries". We try to recreate those intense, vivid, almost psychedelic experiences adjusted to present time! We started homebrewing as university students and when your hobby turns to profession the waves of creativity are unstoppable! We began brewing most beer styles but soon enough diverged from that limiting path. We start experimenting, way beyond the limits of classic beer styles to unknown territories! We have used local Greek herbs, spices and fruits, fermented using unknown yeast and bacteria strains, aged beer in wine barrels from local producers, tried to reverse engineer similar products… We will never stop experimenting regardless of business plans, economic data or any kind of crisis that might cross our path! Because you don’t choose your path, but your path chooses you. Our path is testing the limits of beer and brewing and we hope you enjoy! We surely do!
