Our company, Conservera Castreña S.A., has been offering our customers, since 1986, the highest quality of canned and salted fish. The elaboration of our products is carried out entirely in our facilities, under strict quality control, which supervises the entire flow of elaboration of the product, from the moment the fresh fish arrives at our factory, until it is already processed and sent to the consumer.
“La Castreña, synonym of quality” is our slogan and the principle that has governed our company since our inception.
The raw material comes from artisanal fishing boats, whose fishing gear are purse seines and hoisted in the case of anchovies. In the case of Bonito del Norte (White Tuna), we supply ourselves with raw material fished individually with rod. We have the MSC-CoC certificate of sustainable fishing.
We are a family business, located in the north of Spain, in which each product manufactured is made with care, under strict quality control, without additives, and with 100% natural ingredients. Our company is IFS Food certified.
We have expanded our facilities, launching organic production lines, for the preparation of Anchovy Fillets (from the Cantabrian Sea) (Engraulis encrasicolus) and Bonito del Norte (Thunnus alalunga), both in extra virgin olive oil from organic farming.
