It was in 1975, in the plains of Normandy at Condé sur Sarthe, that the cheesemaker Jean Verrier created Le Camembert Le Rustique.
For this very unique recipe, he found inspiration in traditions and know-how of his region. Its secret: a flavorful taste and a very creamy recipe.
For an optimal ripening, the camemberts are conserved in a wooden box, signed by Jean Verrier, recognizable by its pyrography: it is now a symbol of the brand Le Rustique.
