Krama Heritage
The Wild Silk Krama in Orange
Product’s description
Explore our collection of Wild Silk Kramas! First and foremost, we invite you to visit our workshops in Siem Reap: the silk worm farm of Artisans d'Angkor. We particularly encourage you to watch the short video of the tour, which, we confidently say, will enchant you. Additionally, we invite you to explore our Palm Leaf Workshop located in the province of Takeo, south of Phnom Penh.
To create our Wild Silk Kramas, we rely on the exceptional and world-unique expertise of Artisans d'Angkor, the first social enterprise in Cambodia, which we proudly support. Your Wild Silk Krama is entirely handwoven and requires a day of meticulous weaving. Wild silk is as robust as it is characterful, with a textured and luminous finish. Its thickness allows it to retain warmth while being lightweight to wear. Dimensions: 160 x 30 cm. Material: 100% thick silk.
By purchasing this product, you support the exceptional craftsmanship and fair wage principles of Artisans d'Angkor, as well as a team of 10 artisans who intricately weave the palm leaf cases in ethical and equitable conditions. Additionally, you provide two days of school for a child educated by Pour un Sourire d'Enfant at the Catch-up School in Phnom Penh.
Your Krama will be presented to you in its naturally handwoven palm leaf case. For maintenance, we recommend handwashing in cold water.
