YEAST PROPAGATOR

A yeast grower is a yeast propagation device in which a pure culture of brewer‘s yeast is propagated in sterile wort, usually continuously under aseptic conditions. A brewery that owns a PK for yeast propagation excludes the possibility of infection with purchased yeast and is independent of competition, which would otherwise obtain yeast (a good investment in beer quality).
