Cantina Sociale di Trento - Heredia Teroldego

The grapes are grown in the area comprised by the 3 provinces of  Trento, Bolzano and Belluno, which share the Dolomites, inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2011. The mountains and the rivers have defined the cultivable areas;  Teroldego prefers light and permeable soils, such as the alluvial ones. The grapes are de-stemmed and crushed and the juice undergoes the fermentation under controlled temperature  for 2/3 weeks, if we consider the maceration. There after the wine undergoes the malolactic fermentation, which aims to reduce the acidity. The wine ages in wood and stainless steel tanks.  Red ruby in colour, vinous on the nose with a light note of violet.  Dry on the palate, full bodied, with light tannins and medium alcoholic.
