Grown exclusively with organic fertilisers, Ponthier's certified Organic passion fruit is sourced in Peru, a natural paradise for growing exotic fruits. Ponthier has chosen the Flavicarpa variety for its juicy flesh, its acidulous and fruity character and its beautiful golden colour. The production cycle for passion fruit lasts about eighteen months, followed by a fallow period of two to three years, which allows all the qualities of the local soil to develop. This latency period favours the decompacting of the soil and the presence of nutrients. The passion fruit is harvested by hand, as it detaches itself from the plant when it reaches maturity.
