GOODS TO GET WILD.

Meeko sneakers are for wild lovers that don't want to walk barefoot yet. Through every sneaker made, every story and experience shared, we hope to inspire our generations to reconnect with the living. All that contributing to our roomies' conservation, through an innovative design approach and concrete commitments to NGO.


WILDLIFE-FRIENDLY DESIGN

We reviewed the entire lifecycle of the shoes, from the sketches to the end of life, in order to limit our impact on the living. Our efforts are focusing on the 4 main threats of this kind of products : intensive farming, overexploitation of natural resources (rainforest and water), polution and fossil energy. Meeko sneakers are very cool but mostly :

1. Vegan
2. Made of biobased and/or recycled materials (no linked with deforestation and less water consuming).
3. Produced in short loop (all our suppliers are based in Portugal or Italy) and recyclables (thanks to a specific program from our soles supplier).
4. Assemblied in factories powered by solar pannels (75% for our manufacturing partner, 90% for our soles supplier).

GIVE BACK.

We launched #STEPCLOSER program through which we support local initiatives of endangered species conservation. We invest 3% of our time and 30% of our benefits in this action. Two projects currently benefit from it : one in Sumatra (Indonesia) for Tapanuli orangutan, one in Tanzanie for African elephants.
