Jipyeong Brewery
Jipyeong RIce Draft Makgeoli 750ml
Product’s description
Makgeolli is a type of Korean traditional fermented liquor made with rice, water and ‘ nuruk’. Specifically, nuruk has long been used as a traditional liquor fermenter in Korea. Made by breeding beneficial bacteria (Aspergillus luchuensis) in grain, it contains yeast and lactobacillus needed to ferment alcohol.
Makgeolli is known for its fresh taste as the yeast and lactobacillus is alive.Particularly, the carbonic acid produced by the yeast provides a slight hint of tanginess and sweetness. The fermentation of live lactobacillus continues even after the product is on the market. The number of lactobacillus contained is around 70 to 100 billion, which is beneficial for intestinal health. Moreover, it contains vitamin B, which is effective for improving immunity.
Ji Pyeong's representative product, Rice makgeolli, made of domestic rice with a nice taste, softness, and subtle sweetness.
