The Sultanas

The sultanas are produced from a variety of seedless grapes which are dried to concentrate their rich flavour. The sultana was first introduced to Europe by the Ottoman traders. The name "Sultana" comes from the word "Sultan" and it is well know that the humble grape had been decorating the Ottoman tables for many years and had been served to Sultans as a healthy treat.
